Lottery funding to refurbish games area

Whitnash Councillors celebrate securing funding to refurbish games area.

As part of the new Whitnash Civic Centre & Library project, Acre Close park has seen many changes and improvements in the last couple of years.

However, the multi use games area had been looking tired for some time. It was originally built with grant funding, many years ago, and it has remained well used ever since.

Since the new Civic Centre project has been largely completed, and the football and rugby pitches recommissioned, Whitnash Town Council has turned its attention to other areas that could do with refurbishment, and the multi use games area within the park, was one such area.

Whitnash councillors on Warwick District Council managed to secure funding from not only Warwick District Council itself, but also a grant from the National Lottery.

This will enable Whitnash Town Council to refurbish the multi use games area, which further maintains and enhances one of the many facilities that the council provides to the town and its residents.
